Performance in the water
Extra width and efficient rocker improve paddling and help the surfer chase shifting peaks. Unlike many easy boards, the Smoothie uses foiled rails that stay connected at speed instead of bouncing across the face. Its round tail maintains a smooth line through powerful turns and feels secure in the barrel.
The board can adapt as a wave changes character, remaining loose enough through smaller inside sections while providing confidence on the open face. It will not feel as reactive as a dedicated high-performance shortboard or as specialised as a Slayer in maximum surf; its strength is the useful ground between them.
