Reviewer Noel Salas described the Miso as a potential one-board quiver after testing it in both a wave pool and sizeable open-ocean surf. That versatility is the defining quality of the model.
Compact without feeling limited
Noel tested a 5’5” EPoly and a 5’6” EPS/epoxy, both around 26 litres. Despite the short length, the Miso engaged confidently from the bottom of overhead waves and moved quickly from rail to rail. The bottom contours and medium exit rocker created enough traction to push hard without making the board feel slow.
The compact outline provides speed and easy redirection in weaker surf, while the rail and rocker preserve control when conditions improve. Multiple fin options allow the surfer to tune drive, release and looseness rather than locking the board into one personality.
Best for
Choose the Miso if you want a short alternative board for everyday waves but still expect proper performance when the swell arrives.
